Past Grant Programs: Crawford County Rebuild and Recover Grant

Grant Program Recap

In the aftermath of severe storms and tornadoes that swept through Crawford County on April 17, 2024, Wombat Solar stepped up its community engagement efforts to support the City of Bucyrus. Recognizing the challenges faced by local businesses in the wake of the natural disaster, Wombat Solar launched a grant program aimed at providing much-needed assistance to those affected.

Several local businesses in Bucyrus suffered significant damage, including roof destruction and water damage, as a result of the tornadoes. In response, Wombat Solar created a grant program to support these businesses in their recovery efforts. Through this initiative, Wombat Solar has awarded grants totaling over $31,000 to 15 different local businesses, helping them to rebuild and get back on their feet.
